sorry for bad link in the first post. now it should works.

May not be enough women. After 100 years all my families died out. Maybe fertility just needs to be increased.

Conquering territories that were full citizens should give the option of enslaving the population, turning citizens into half as many slaves. Leave 1-2 citizens to represent the new owners. Enslaved territories should not have nationalism penalties.

thanks for the ideas. the idea of adding womens is more to increase the chance of establish real dynasties and not to solve the problems with not enough characters if the player expand very quick. increased fertility not helps - more children dying in young age then. have tested this and it seems, the mechanics behind the scene is hardcoded.

nationalism is hardcoded, too and not really modable.

Could you do something about assasinations too ?

i´m afraid, there is nothing, what modders can do - but cheating. ;)

the only way to stop spamming assasinations is reducing the badboy-values maybe by some events. but is that the way, the game should go?

was thinking more of in line of topic Assasinations on main Rome forum, editing Defines.txt:

#_CHDEF_BASE_CHARACTER_ASSASSINATION_CHANCE_

-number should be 0

#_CDEF_MONTHS_BETWEEN_ASSASSINATIONS_

-I put 500 here

Fiddling with those numbers might help. Above will take them out altogether.

thanks for your recommandations. we will discuss that. but i think, the results of this changes - to make it easier to conquer the world in shorter times - are not the way, spqr will go.

I've tried this mod with Carthage, Rome and Macedon. Didn't have much problems with families dying out. E.g. Ptolemy managed to produce 4 daughters and 2 sons in the last game.

Overall, I love the provincial system, makes the game way more intersting. I also liked the national ideas and the unit names. If the rest of the changes match up, this mod will be THE mod for EU:Rome, at least for me.

Of course, the biggest problem with EU:Rome mods - lack of people, lack of comments, etc.

And another problem is...a lot of people diying with 240 years old?
