Lennart mentioned this in my introduction thread, but I think it's worth noting again here: we need YOU -- yes, you, whoever you are -- to help spread the word about Arsenal of Democracy!

All of us have seen the huge amount of work the team has done to bring AoD to life; and while I'm working with the guys on the team to try and get some media coverage in as many places as possible online, we can still use your help.

As Lennart said, just putting an AoD-related line in your signature here on the Paradox forums -- along with a link to this board -- is a great way to show your support within the community. Doing the same on other forums would also be a great idea.

Some other things you can do:

-Follow @PdxInteractive on Twitter (http://www.twitter.com/pdxinteractive) or myself (@EvolveTom) and pass along messages sent out about AoD -- we both usually post links to the dev diaries as soon as they go up (or close to that time).

- Tell your friends... and strangers! This one is a pretty basic idea, of course, but there are a lot of ways you can do this. Tell people on other forums -- strategy gamers, military buffs, whoever -- about AoD. Yell at people in the streets, crying out, "Age of Democracy is going to be the best World War II strategy game you've ever played!"

I'm also considering starting a Facebook page for the game... are any of you on Facebook? If so, we'll get that up and hopefully you guys can help me get the word out throughout the site.

Any other suggestions for ways people can help tell others about the game?

recruit a lot of beta testers and ask them to write an AAR at:

http://www.bopworld.org/

and maybe some other sites.

people dont follow you, its the other way round :)

+ it would maybe help if you would not ban so many people from this forum, even if you dont like their complaints or their tone. they are customers after all, and this specific example is really annoying. they paid for it.

Whoops! Feel free to do this if you are feeling mischievous and want to cause people to look for something that doesn't exist... But please also yell "And Arsenal of Democracy is going to be even better!" :D

Great PR.
You sure did your homework.

Anyway, I'm on Facebook, and in Europe it's more popular than Twitter anyway, so try and make a fan page there.
Hah.. yes, I'm great. That's what I get for writing up that post too quickly before having to put my daughter to bed! :)

But yes, as noted, you could always say that and then also yell something about Arsenal of Democracy. That might work even better.

Maybe we should get our own avatars in the forum?

Cover screen + "AOD supporter" below;)

I'd ask "What's in it for us?" but let me answer my own (and I'm sure someone else's too) question and say: "You git, if more people hear about the game, more people will BUY the game, giving the developers more monies (not the actual spelling) to make more quality products, and so on."

On http://www.gsbrazil.net/forum/ we're spreading AoD. And now I'm working on the translation of the DD to Portuguese to spread the word.

And probably when the game was launch I'm going to translate the game itself to Portuguese.
