Sprites

Hi

Did you make a 4x4 bitmap file of the palette and placed it in the palette folder?

And another thing, in game graphics is about a fourth brighter than what you see outside. If you want it to look like it does outside, make the palette a fourth darker than what it is.

sprites levels

Hi all

The sprites levels changes base on if it is a basic, improved and advanced for fighters (not sure where jets fit in though). Tanks are this way too, light, medium, and heavy, plus super heavy.

About that thing you found in the tech files, I'm not sure what they do. However I bet that they are for the unit model, this is not the sprite, but the name of the model. Notice that in the models.csv file, they use the same numbers format for when to change the models name in game when the tech is researched.

Oh yeah, I use a 3d render to make my units, so perspective isn't much of a problem. I also use photoshop and photosuite as the 2d software.

YOu can check that in the tech tree...

I think there are four levels? Am I right?
Level 1 = Pre War & Early
Level 2 = Light
Level 3 = Medium
Level 4 = Heavy & Super Heavy

Is there not a 'How to' regarding Sprites somewhere?

Some explanation of how the computer picks them, and what the L1, L2 etc mean?

It would be nice with the current selection of sprites to be able to choose what level of fighter they represent depending on preferences.
