Thank you, i found that one lastnight and was looking for sprite package for Darkest Hour. Puma's Sprite is not compatible though and wanted some nice looking ship sprites, so look like i need to convert them myself. Never played DH, been wondering if that game is good. This is why i am looking for something more tasty on sprites, doesnt have to be everything.

As units are all changed from HOI2 ( AoD ) to DH, AoD sprites will not work for DH. All sprites are needed to be adjusted for DH units. This means a lot of renaming work. There are not any graphical problems.
 
That is true, i manage to rescale the mini transport for now. Puma's Sprites was alittle too big on some models, beside it look wonderful in DH. I wont be doing alot of them, just IJN, USN and HMS ships. Too bad BeBro hasnt been updating his progress, probably all lost now due to dead links. Those ship sprites look nice and came from NavyField!

Hey, I have Bebro's sprites. They should be in my external harddisk. I may upload them for you if you wish.
 
I cant get Bebro's sprites to work if anyone does please let me know how. Bebros was the best sprites of all - changed just enough to look lovely and they were really quick to load as well. Its such a shame I cant get it to work with AoD!!

I've tried Pumas sprites but they just take far too long to load for me.

So I am stuck unless there are any other less comprehensive sprite packs around that I could use???
 
I had some of BeBro's and Puma's sprites, but the problem was that neither of those worked properly with CORE, and I don't play AoD without it :sad:

What we need is a competent sprite-team to make "the ultimate" ( :D ) spritepacks for vanilla and CORE. Sadly, my attempts were less than successful :ninja:
 
That's an option too. At least how to "connect" the existing sprites with the different models in different mods. As for the drawing the sprites, I'll leave that to someone who knows how to do that.

And we need someone who has enough free time to do that :ninja:

You might consider deleting all inf/cav/gar sprites from both sub-directories of his pack. That should work wonders. You can also split his pack into several smaller ones which you can add to your game - by using the mod enabler JSGME - if you're actually using them by yourself. Then you can play e.g. without naval sprites if you're playing a landlocked nation.

IMHO the 'ultimate' sprite pack will be very specialised since it mainly depends upon the models.csv. My favoured package would be an expanded naval package for all majors. ;) Most of the other important sprites have already been covered by Bebro. Reworking Bebros sprites for CORE shouldn't be very difficult since you'd have to rename the *.spr files to their new model.
 
I've tried both the deleting and the "gradual" approach. I have absolutely NO idea what was wrong, but even when I did it model by model, renaming .spr files and fixing the references to images within .spr files, I got a mess. Naval and aerial side was (mostly) fine, but the panzer and infantry sprites were a complete mess. Either they didn't work, or they "skipped", or they ignored the model progression and did whatever they wanted. So, even if I want to use them, I'm not using them :ninja: If I had detailed instructions, I MIGHT go for it again (once the new CORE is out), but I'm not exactly gung-ho about it :D
