I installed some modified Sprites yesterday but I keep getting an error message during start-up that states this:

"Pallete Inger Not Found"

I'm familiar with the Palletes and Sprites, but not sure what "Inger" is.

Thanks Martin, probably something wrong with one of my Sprites...UGH!

Thank you cowboy84.

I'm learning something new about sprites everyday. It's tedious, but if you play with modified sprites, it's well worth it...

Eventually, I'll release a Sprite Pack.

I've been collecting sprites from various sources. The inger pallete appears to be shared by quite a number of sprites put together by Puma.

By the way, it would be good if you could release Puma's sprites Pasha, because a lot of them are only available if you are registered at the Design Mod Project site. The problem is that the site doesn't appear to be providing any activation codes at the moment. I've tried with more than one email address, but without success. I mentioned that I couldn't register in another thread, and other people said that they were having the same problems.

If someone who is registered would bring this problem to the attention of the people who run the site it would be very much appreciated!

Ah ok, I didn't realize people have been having issues with the DMP site. I'll upload all the Sprites I've collected this week. The depressing thing is a lot of his sprites are no longer available on DMP AND also lost by me when I had a hard drive crash. The plates won't even move in the drive so I can't assign it as a slave drive. I might try sticking it in the freezer, I've heard that sometimes works. Wish me luck.

I've a usb thingy that connects PATA and SATA drives (cables and your hdd on the desk only), got it on Ebay, very useful and was very inexpensive.

"USB 2.0 to SATA/IDE cable"

I've found, if you can hear the drive "clicking", if you play with the power connection, on-off, on-off, you can "persuade" the drive to fire up and give you the opportunity to get your data off it.

Thanks Nova. I'll pick one up and see if your suggestion works. If not, then I'll try the freezer trick as a last resort.

Inger is the name of pallette some sprites uses. You probably took these sprites from AoD and HOI2. You have to go to gfx/pallette folder of these games, find "inger" and copy-paste it into DH's gfx/pallette folder.

I was looking through Puma's sprites to try and figure out something.. when I came across this:

sorry, pressed the xxxx wrong button.. hang on and I'll post you the palette file... jeez...

Thanks Nova! Although I'm an idiot, I figured it out eventually by trial and error but I also forgot that I can open these files with wordpad, etc. I knew that in the past, but for some reason I had forgotten it now...getting old I guess :(
