[Spoilers Maybe]

I am playing as Stannis in the AFFC scenario. Winning the first war is fairly straightforward but winning the second is quite a bit more complicated. So far not much success going heavy merc (not enough gold), whoever commands the North completely wastes their army and finally there really are no marriage alliances available due to Stannis' religion.

Has anyone managed to marry Stannis to a highborn lady or Shireen to a lord? The infidel penalty, while it makes sense, seems impossible to overcome. Even marrying Dany (Which I do not want to do as I could never see that happening) is impossible.

The only success I had was killing the two Lannister siblings with demon babies which then led Stannis to inheriting the throne (really cheap victory). And then Glover (who I gave the North to) did not even swear allegiance, the bastard!

EDIT: Forgot two things

1) As Stannis I can never seem to perform the Visit the Chambers personal interaction, is this because he is "Chaste"?

2) How can I get that 7000 Fiery Hand Stack (Holy Order of R'holler)??? That would be such a game changer.

in my limited experience, pray the Iron Bank goes to you with the offer for mercenaries. 10,000 mercenaries makes a big difference. And if you're lucky, the Iron Throne gets bogged down in its Riverlands wars. That eliminates a good ~14,000 troops you don't have to face (since LF has always joined in my experience).

As Stannis in AFFC, since you have already defeated Aegon and the Golden Company, you need to ensure that Dorne, the Vale and the Riverlands declare for you. The North is essentially useless, as you found out: even if you kick out the Boltons, the North has too little troops and is too far away to sway the balance of power.
