stardock activiation

Hi, can someone pse help. Tried activating EIC about 5 days ago and it kept coming up with an error. (Yes I have a a legit activation key). I saw somewhere in one of these forums that it was not a pradoxplaza issue but stardock, so booked out the fault with them, after 3 days they finally got back to me and said check out paradoxplaza.com. Whats the score - who is responsible for activations of EIC and who provides support.
I was looking fwd to playing EIC, but with all the probs of activation its getting less appealing everyday. Any help or quick solutions appreciated.

Sorry to hear you're having problems installing the game. Please post the exact error messsage you get during the activation so we could help you.

It's unbelievable how many people run into problems with Stardock. We have more posts here about not being able to activate than anything else. :-|

I too was surprised so I took a look at other forums published/distributed by Paradox and problems with activation/downloads are quite old. Other titles like EU III have had problems. There must be some strong financial reasons to make it worth while to have annoyed customers.

EU3 does not have an activation system. None of the games developed by Paradox has any kind of DRM. The only thing you do with the CD-key in those boxes, are register your game on the forum. Nothing that is required to play.

Other developers that Paradox is publisher to may choose to have an activation system.

I have spoken with stardock, and they are not supposed to send people to paradox regarding these issues anymore.

My comments should have been more specific. There are two stickies in EU III concerning Cd Key problems. One has 77 posts and the other involves steam, the problem I have posted about several times and am waiting for an answer. I understand that it takes time and I will wait patiently. What I am not patient about is how this is a repeat problem.

Since it's game maker's decision, maybe NG should get rid of Goo in the expansion? It would halve the number of posts requiring tech support and also probably save some buck...
