A friend of mine and I are playing the new US release and when attempting to load from a regular save or an autosave both machines end up hanging and not loading the save. When I tried to ctrl-alt-del to get task manager, I found that EU was 'not responding'. We are playing via modem, both 56k, and the games saved were no more than 15-25 years into the game. Any suggestions? Has anyone else encountered this problem? Finally, how long does it take to typically load up a saved game online to other players, I know the save files are large. Thanks for the help!
