State of the game and Further expansions?

Is Imperator going to receive any further expansions or has Paradox written this game off? I've seen a lot of stuff regarding Imperator and I'm aware that the player base for this game apparently collapsed quickly after release, on account of quality issues with game mechanics, but is this truly it, the final state of the game? The last dev update released that I can see is 2.0 - is that it?
How is the game at the moment and is it recommendable?

In a similar thread like yours, PDX_pariah officialy declared Imperator legacy.

Although later it was said that a game could restart development, it is very rare and only if someone showed interest (players or otherwise).

Although I would like some more substantial features from the mod. But yes, its absolutely wonderful.
