Stations not upgrading to better tech

When I have shields 3 and got psi shields no station uses the new versions. Is this a bug or intended?

Same happened to fighters. Got amoeba but could not use them until I got the first tech (this may be intended).

stations and ships will never upgrade to dangerous or rare tech

you need to manually make this change yourself

Just got shields 4 and 5 to see if it works then, but no psi shields got added to stations. But how can I change stations? There is no station design screen to change them.

And I have enough Zro to build them.

I dont think you can as the game stands think itss broke. You can click on any star base on the first page you move across to details and it shows up all your stations weapon and shield systems. You can use the d pad to move between them however when you click on nothing happens. I tried for ages to change my basic tracking computer to the ai one just would not do it. One for the devs tc

at best you can change the defense platforms that stations can get, but otherwise, stations just auto design themselves
