Is it possible to 'steal' someone else's valyrian steel sword maybe via prisoner management or intrigue so it's possible to get blackfyre, ice ... without being part of that dynastie

Yes. if you are a follower of the frowned god, and loot a valirian sword's seat -and the wielder is in the province at the moment-, when you win the siege you can tak the sword. 8By the way, the option should also be implemented for pirates)

Either there's a god I don't know about, or the Drowned God is frowning upon you.

The Frowned god frowns upon your shenanigans.

But yes as ngppgn said, you are able to get a Valyrian steel sword by stealing one, either under the drowned god or through piracy, either from sieging down a hold in which whom the county holder owns one, or looting it dry.

You really should be able to obtain a valyrian sword from a prisoner though. It was what was done with Ice, for the most famous example.

Just add HUGE penalty opinions with the family of the person and all their vassals too. Also possibly a dishonourable and family feud modifier.

Oh, and I thought that was a random event too (though, it might have happened after a battle), while playing my recent Rhaegar game.

Too easy, especially with the kidnap plot. But even without, just being someone's lord and throwing them in jail gets you the sword (not without penalties, but the right circumstances can be manufactured easily as well).

Maybe make it a plot, and only if you have the ambition to get one (same goes with eggs).

Why cant the free people do the same? Im playing as king beyond the wall.

Add a "retrieve Valyrian sword/dragon egg" casual belli.

Doesn't help a lot when you're House Celtigar and you've been thrown in the royal dungeons just for your family axe.

Being able to wage a war to get it back is not a bad idea (and should probably exist anyway)... But not as a balance to being able to take valyrian steel or dragon eggs from anyone you happen to have imprisoned

Obviously stealing a valyrian sword from your vassal should not be popular, at all, with your other vassals. I thought this was kinda self-explanatory.

Stealing a valyrian sword should be a valid choice only when it is a none-vassal enemy.

I also think there should be a way to treacherously make a valyrian sword owner a former owner :)
Besides, it's little disappointing that Drowned God Ironborn worshiper gets better chance to obtain such sword than others. We should have more possibilities to obtain existing swords (and long-lost ones too) rather than reforging our owns.

Definitely agree that there should be long-lasting consequences if you steal somebody's ancestral sword, definitely making the thief dishonorable and possibly including giving every wielder of this sword a Dynastic Stain for about 10 generations or something. Taking somebody's sword is obviously not something taken easily in the Seven Kingdoms, or I feel the Lannisters would have gotten their paws on one a lot sooner than they did.
