Is there any way to register a steam copy of Black Plague on the forums? Right-clicking the game in steam doesn't show any option to view a cd key but I want another icon!

I would also love to know the answer to that question. Although I'm afraid we're out of luck here. Steam doesn't show any CD key and there's no reference to it in the registry (searching with regedit).
EDIT: Wait, I see you actually have the badge for Penumbra:Black Plague. How did you manage to get that?

Try to install it, then right click on the game and it should have a new option there that says "view game cd key". copy to clipboard
