I don't understand the steam rating on this game. I have a 100 hours and it is a great game! It seems very well tuned. My latest game is with the "The Last Ark" game rule as Russia. I'm able to consistently and realistically grow my population if I'm careful. I can manage my traits and specialties nicely too.

Thumbs up from me!!

then let them know, write a review. I picked up the game after the curiosity update and its great. I can see some of the flaws that might be there (no tutorial or resource bar) and there are still some bugs to fix but overall its a great game. And I trust them to make it even better. I guess the biggest problem for many is content/price, while an indie game for 20,- can get away with 10h content and Triple A for 60,- have much more man power. This game is in between and has neither benefit. I got it on sale so I treat it as an indie game but I understand that people who bought the First Colony Edition want more for there money.

well, I bought it last night as part of the back-to-school sale, so I'm eager to give it a try. As a scientist, it looks pretty appealing. I love Stellaris. HOI III, seems like it could be great but the UI is so awful it makes it hard. Crusader Kings 2 is good but it seems a little dry, at times it feels like not much is happening. Where with Stellaris, I'm always sending science ships and construction ships around, there is always tons to do.
