Hello,
I was planning on buying the 3 DLC I haven't purchased yet, along with the new season pass to get the new 4th DLC too. But, in the Steam Ultimate bundle it lists the Galaxy Edition Upgrade pack as something and would have to pay for in order to get the other DLC I do not have. But, I already have that content because I preordered Stellaris when it was originally released.
I've communicated with Steam support and they said it would be something Paradox would have to address, because the Stellaris - Galaxy Edition (Pre-Order) APP ID is not associated with the Stellaris: Galaxy Edition Upgrade DLC to show that I already have that in my library.
Is this something you can fix?

Thanks!

It is not, I am sorry - the Steam store is simply not smart enough to know to remove items that are part of a bundle, that you own by other means. All it knows is you do not own the bundle.

I'm not sure what Steam expect us to do about that - we can't retrospectively change the APP ID of items that have been in the Steam store for years! Indedd I thought it was Steam who allocated those IDs ...

Anyway, I'll refer this on to my manager, who handled a similar case recently.

@Wolfspyder Can you restart Steam and add the bundle to your cart again to see if something has changed? The product team made a minor change to see if this solves the problem but unfortunately Steam doesn't allow major changes during sales so if it ain't solved we may not be able to fix it at the moment ><.

If you click on "Information on this bundle", that blue button, it will list the DLCs in it and remove each one it thinks you own.

What does that say now?

But did you buy the bundle itself? Or just the individual items in it?

If the latter, it is as I said above - the Steam store is simply not smart enough to know to remove items that are part of a bundle, that you own by other means. All it knows is you do not own the upgrade pack item number.

I bought the Galaxy Edition back in 2016, when Stellaris was released, by that time the Galaxy Edition Upgrade didn't exist.

Okay then, that explains why Steam does not think you own it - you don't!

So, do you have any possible solution to this problem?
I do not, I am sorry - as Steam sees you do not have the Galaxy Edition Upgrade pack, it quite correctly displays that you do not have it. I'm not sure what possible fix there could be for that?

Then, if you could provide me a Steam-key of the Galaxy Edition Upgrade, I could add it to my acount in order to make Steam understand I already own this item.

I don't have a key for that.

I'm not understanding what problem this is causing you? After all every person in your posiiton will see the same as you do! It doesn't seem to have materially affected them, but maybe you have a different experience?

The problem is that if I want to buy the Stellaris: Ultimate Bundle in order to get my lacking dlc at a bigger discount, it forces me to buy the Galaxy Edition Upgrade, so the advantadge of that discount is lost by forcing me to buy items I already own.

Unfortunately it's the way this bundle works and we can't give out keys for the upgrade pack as each key actually costs us money ><. The product team is aware of this issue and will see if something can be done in the future (as this is also related to Steam settings) but for now there's nothing for us to do.
