Steamer/Clipper Factory Bug?

Hi,

I have Revolutions. I'm playing as Prussia in the Grand Campaign. The problem is that when my capitalists say they are building a steamer/clipper factory, it doesn't appear in that province, or any. This is beginning to get a little bit annoying, because I'm trying to build up a small navy, but I have to buy all those clipper/steam convoys which is not cheap. Does anyone know why this is happening? Thanks for your help.

Confirm that you have Revolutions 2.01 - check your menu screen and in the upper right corner it should say in small red letters Victoria 2.01.

There was an issue with capitalists trying to build steamer/clipper factories in landlocked provinces (which is a no-no rule) and as a result nothing was build. This bug was to have been fixed in the patch that came out immediately after Victoria:Revolutions was released, resulting in the current version of 2.01

Now, unless you bought the title from gamersgate within the first month of Revolutions release, you should have 2.01 as your defaul version - hence why I said check your screen in the load menu for single player/multiplayer etc. Both the Retail CD version from Paradox (the only way to get it on hard copy) and gamersgate downloads starting in Sept 2006 were default this version. And there is no public 2.01 patch, no need since it was included as a separate upload for the first purchasers of Gamersgate pre-patch and default included in the hardcopy and post Sept 2006 retail versions of Gamersgate.

I have 2.01, but apparently it solved itself. I reloaded it today and one of my capitalists built a steamer factory and later another one, and they appeared. So, idk what the problem was, but it's fixed now.
