Description
[3.0.2] [91c1] Synthetic ascended pops forced into Transubstantiation Synthesis living standard

Game Version
3.0.2

What version do you use?
Steam

What expansions do you have installed?

Do you have mods enabled?
No

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
After ascending my population into synthetics they are stuck with Transubstantiation Synthesis living standard, meaning they have 0 upkeep but -25% happiness. When I try to change their living standard the game automatically moves them back, locking me out from changing it for 10 years.

Steps to reproduce the issue.
1: Become synthetics
2: Try to change living standards

I just experienced the same thing... again. This bug has been known for a while now, at least since 2.7.x. I stopped playing Synth ascension in 2.8 because of it. Don't know if this bug was fixed at some point in between and reappeared, or if it never got fixed in the first place. :(

Something I noticed: In all the bug reports I've seen, the screenshots show "Academic Priviledge" as an option, this is the case for me as well. Can anyone confirm if this also happens to a non-materialist species? If not, we might be on to something...

Hello! This is my first time actually participating in any forum, I am unsure if you'll receive notification when this is posted, but hopefully you both do.

First! Yes I absolutely have encountered this bug, so add me into this pile PDX please!

Last! I actually found a workaround- now it will take a maximum of 10 game years (depending on how long ago you changed your rights) but that shouldn't really be too long.

All you have to do is go to the rights panel and reset all species to default rights. You then need to wait for a monthly change to occur, then make the changes to whatever living condition you would like your synthetics to have!

This should be the end of the fix, and it worked for me. But hopefully the bug itself is patched in the next update. Happy synthetics!

Experiencing this too, but also with main species after cybernetic upgrade. Never ran into this problem until Nemesis.

The temp fix is to create a new template for your main species and convert all but one pop to the new template. Only your "primary" template is affected by the bug. All other templates are unaffected. As you assimilate more pops into your empire they will be incorporated into the "primary" template, so you will periodically have to convert all but one of them into the unaffected templates.
