Description
4.0.2 c7fe Necrophage purge converts few pops

Game Version
4.0.2 c7fe

What version do you use?
Steam

What expansions do you have installed?
I have the Subscription

Do you have mods enabled?
No

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Howdy,

I recently started a new campaign with all DLC enabled as a terravore with necrophage origin.
When I invaded the first primitive world I noticed that despite there being 800 pops originally, I only converted 132. I noticed that it would gradually convert 20 pops / month and then abruptly stop and basically kill all of the prepatent species.
The number of months until it abruptly stops seems to vary between planets.
This was on Ubuntu 24.04

Steps to reproduce the issue.
1. Start a game as terravore with necrophage origin
2. Invade primitive world
3. Set the primitive species rights to undesirable, and necro-purge

Had a similar issue with Fanatical Purifiers. I'll try to upload a save when I get home this evening. I had ~3600 xenos on each of two conquered planets. They generated 5000 unity per month and maxed out my food storage in a couple of months (although I'd expect forced labour to generate minerals instead of food as Lithoids but my minerals did not increase rapidly) but after a couple of months had completely disappeared. At the point I only had one of these planets (before I captured the second), I got an announcement that some of the undesirables had settled it as migrants trying to escape me!

I have the same issue. In this save for instance Pelx-Cradonian (Primitive) go from:

2600
to 2540 in 2221.12
to 1520 in 2222.01
to 1340 in 2222.02
to 1320 in 2222.03
to 1300 in 2222.04
to 1280 in 2222.05
to 1260 in 2222.06
to 1240 in 2222.07
to 0 in 2222.08

but its not consistent the next time i reloaded it for experimental purposes it went like

to 2380 in 2221.12
to 0 in 2222.01

I've even noticed planets getting decolonized because all purge pops disappeared before I could get any necrophage pops.

This makes necrophages functionally unplayable.

I'm playing on Windows 11, AMD Ryzen 7 5700G, 32GB Ram, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 if that helps.
I am on Steam, have all DLC installed, do not have any mods installed and am using Version: Phoenix v4.0.4 (6a76)

Yeah every patch we get I just load up a necro empire to see if it's still broken, it still is. I can play as other builds obviously, but it bothers me that this specific mechanic just straight up doesn't work, so who knows what else might be going wrong in my game that I don't know about lol
