Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
As intended wilderness uses terraforming colonization that costs only biomass and quite a lot of it when planet type is changed in the process.

However post colonization terraforming wilderness planet costs only energy. Price is very similar in the terms of the numbers but not the impact. Generally energy income is orders of magnitude higher than biomass and its importance is much lower.

I believe wilderness was never meant to terraform with energy. In which case it would be a bug.

Example:
In my current game with terraforming discounts it takes 300 biomass to colonize alpine world or 1500 to transform it to the preferred continental type in the process.
Colonizing without changing the type for 300 biomass and then terraforming for extra 1800 energy is a steal considering my monthly income is 100 biomass and 3000 energy.

Steps to reproduce the issue.
As a wilderness empire have terrestrial sculpting and ecological adaptation techs.
Check prices for colonization terraforming.
Check prices for terraforming on existing colony.

As per 4.0.10:
Cleaned up Terraforming options for Wilderness empires if they did not start with that planet type to avoid the painful game loop of colonizing a terrible world so that you could then pay in energy to improve it.

What the hell does that even mean?

This simply removed the cheapest colonization option which is with no change to the planet type.
This removed no hassle at all but made it twice as expensive to colonize. Next cheapest option is within SAME climate category with same horrible habitability but now it costs 1000 biomass instead of 500 for no gain at all.

My homeworld class is continental.

I can't colonize arctic as arctic for 500 biomass anymore. I much choose a different class and next cheapest is tundra or arctic for 1000 biomass with exactly the same habitability of 30% but twice as expensive for no gain at all.

I still need to terraform after colonization if I want to spend energy instead. Granted terraforming post colonization requires more advanced tech but it would cost 3000 energy. You easily get 10 to 100+ times more energy per month than biomass.

Of course I can also spend 2500 biomass and terraform straight to continental. How would you like your terraforming colonization to cost extra equivalent 20k to 200k in energy?
