"Armies" tab disappears from outliner

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I first played this back in 2018 and noticed this issue (and reported it) then. I just loaded the game up for the first time in at least two years, and the issue is still there. It becomes a MAJOR issue around the end of the game!
Essentially once I get to a point of owning so much of the galaxy, the Armies tab completely disappears from the outliner. That means I have to search the map for each and every army in flight (or even, lord help me... landed on a planet) and pull them up manually to tell them what to do. If they are set to follow a fleet, and get used to capture a planet, I have to find them when they are done with the planet and tell them to follow the fleet again.... without using the outliner! If they get separated from their fleet somehow, I not only have to find them, but find out *which* fleet they were following, and then go to their system, select them, manually find the fleet's system (if I use the outliner to go to the fleet, I unselect the armies) then tell them to follow all over again. This is REALLY annoying and a major problem with the game play! I only have the Plantoids and Apocalypse DLC packs, and run no mods.
My computer is Windows 10, 4.2Ghz, 32MB RAM, GeForce RTX 2070... so this computer should be able to handle everything EASILY.

Not completely sure. This is the second system I have been on since I started playing (first was actually a laptop). It always happens when I get about 2/3rds of the galaxy owned by my empire. I am sending the save file, and also plan to have my boyfriend try to use the save file on his computer once he downloads the Apocalypse expansion.
