Do you have mods enabled?

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
The last Species, as seen in my screenshot, has a duplicate in the machine species tab and therefore counts as a machine.
It can't be selected to play as a biological hivemind.

Steps to reproduce the issue.
Select species portrait > choose gestalt consciousness > hivemind is greyed out and tells you that you have choosen a machine species

Not a bug. That is a machine portrait.

Same here — I'm unable to play as the Origin: Wilderness. As you can see in the picture, I haven't selected Gestalt Consciousness. However, I still get the error shown in the image, saying I need to remove Mutualistic Intelligence (Hive Mind).

Not a bug. It's telling you you have to take the hive mind authority, not that you need to remove it. Living planets are hive minds.

Delted my thread since it's not relevant here. Looks like i forgot to choose Gest alt Con.. in order to activate Mutualistic inteligence. Thanks.
