Description
Stellaris - Necrophage colonies are broken and do not grow properly Lem [3.1.1] [22a5]
Game Version
Lem v3.1.1 (22a5)
What version do you use?
Steam
What expansions do you have installed?
All
Do you have mods enabled?
No
Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Necrophage colonies first attempt to grow the necrophage pop (hence only growing via immigration) and very quickly (usually before a pop has grown) move to not growing anything at all. (See colonised world.png)
Resettling prepatent pops in and then resettling them all out of the colony multiple times gets growth working properly (for a time) but this is expensive and unreasonable. The other pathway is resettling in a different species and force growing them but again this shouldn't be required for your empire to function you should just be able to grow the prepatent you designed alas it's not working at the moment.
It also tends to eventually break down, and there is never any warning your planets have stopped growing, so you have to keep quite a paranoid eye.
I started a separate multiplayer game with a friend and we both experienced the issue again.
I assume from what I've seen that the game is confusing the necrophage pop with the prepatent but I'm no coder
Hoping for a swift resolution so my mates can actually consider playing necrophages in our next multiplayer game.
Steps to reproduce the issue.
Colonize a habitable world playing as a necrophage and with a necrophage pop.
