Organic leaders gained by Gestalt Consciousness entities (more specifically, Machine Intelligences) will have their organic traits swapped out for their machine equivalents. Later in the game, this leader also possibly got the synthetic trait
Steps to reproduce the issue.
Recruit a organic leader:
In my case, border a marauder clan and wait for the event where you get a free leader, and accept.
OR
1) Contact a marauder clan
2) Hire a leader
