I read the post about crashes, tried that stuff nothing helped.

Basicly I start a game, any game, and I run it for like 2-3 months of game time and it crashes. What I have noticed is that it often crashes when something big happens, ie. treated is agreed on, area is explored. I have no clue why its doing it but it doesn't crash the machine it just drops the game to my OS. So i can start it back up, but again run it for another month or so and it crashes again. It hasn't hurt my machine at all, but try playing Europa where the game crashes every few months, its rather strange that it doesn't crash the whole machine just the game Europa. Also when I have run things in the background of the game it doesn't crash those either, just Europa.

I have all the latest drivers, and often run FPS games like quake, hl on this same machine so I'm positive it can handle the system load. Any clue what's going on would be helpfully, and if you need any more info on my machine just ask I will get it posted ASAP. Thanks anyone who can help.

try the two utilities listed here:
http://www.europa-universalis.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=28051

Detonator Destroyer (to remove Nvidia drivers and reinstall the newest one) and DirectX Buster to clean DirectX from your system and reinstall it again or install an older version (Dx 8.0a).

Many crashes are due to Nvidia drivers and often removing them with this utility and reinstalling them will solve many peoples problem.

Also, you can upgrade your motherboard drivers and BIOS if it isn't already done :) It won't hurt; in my case it solved problems for other apps.
