Strange problem

Hi, when I open theoption box the games start to go very slowly,
the mouse position refreshes only every 3 or 4 seconds.
Then if i manage to click on the "messages" button the games goes
as normal, i do my selections and when i get back to the options menu
it slows again.


The problem arises only with that screen!

it will help yo know your system specks. but if i can make a calculated guess. you probably have a few program running in the background. also list what Os you have on your machine

Not a solution but an observation:_

You should only have to do the Message Settings once. If you quit the game properly when finished with the session then the message settings are saved and should be the same the next time you start EU.
Therefore there should not be a need to go to the options screen again except as a save before ending the session.

Sometimes i wish to change the settings, maybe have more diplo, less colonization ones.

And no, I don't have backround apps running: I always shut down everithing, even ICQ


Oh, the problem disappeared right now!!! I was thinking about changing the video drivers.

Guess what was this one??


BTW: where are the options stored? I'd prefer to modify a text file, it's faster...if possible
