Hi,

This is very specific issue that only applies to streamers and possibly youtubers as well. Me and many other streamers use streaming software called OBS (https://obsproject.com/). It has 3 different capture methods, game capture, window capture and monitor capture. Game capture is the one you should be using as it is the most resource efficient method of doing. Window capture is ok in most cases but you lose performance and monitor capture should never really be used to capture game footage.

Anyways when I got the press copy last week the game capture did not work with the game regardless whether the game was in windowed or full screen mode. This was fixed (intentionally or not), I want to say on friday or around the weekend when the game was patched, and the game capture started working on full screen mode but still not with windowed mode. Then again on the launch day with the release of v1.05(?) it was broken again and only window capture worked.

I asked around and other streamers were having the same issue and it makes streaming the game a lot harder for us due to the performance hit. I also tried the "-force-d3d" launch option mentioned in the known bugs list as I thought it maybe could have helped but it did not.

In addition to this there seems to be some kind of issue with the combination of the game, capture software and Windows Aero that causes the game's and capture's FPS to suddenly spike up and down. This is very likely also related somehow to the same issue with the windowed/fullscreen handling and how it captures and could be a Unity related issue as I've seen some other Unity game have similar issues.

Sorry I can't really give the technical details about as I'm as technically skilled as a potato.
