I think it is pretty stupid to make it possible to only annex 3 provinces at a time from major powers. Yeah, it makes sense for EUROPE, where huge changes in borders were not that common among the major powers, but it makes no sense for colonies. Fort example, in 1763 England got almost all of the whole French empire in a peace treaty. Since there are so many colonial provinces, the annexation of 2 or 3 of them does not really change the balance of power among the major colonial powers, so in the war, there is really no point in wasting your resources on colonial warfare vs England or Frace. SO - a new rule should be made to allow users to get more than 3 colonial provinces in the peace treaty.

Also, is it possble in th IGC to actually annex the major powers? Or is it at least possible to annex more than 3 provinces at a time?

When you config the game for IGC, set all the other major power selections except the country you are going to play to "none". This will allow you to Annix anyone.

Cheers, Ice:cool:

Alternatively, set Milan, Savoy and Lorraine as major powers and really, really, really annoy the French. :D

Of lately this 3 provinces rule has been the most talked about rule.

Are we getting a little anxious in conquering the world?

Diplomacy is a long word... maybe some people can't handle four syllables :D

Either that, or too much playing Civ2 and expecting to own absolutely everything.

I think that too many people buys this game looking for an historical version of Civ and plays like it was that game.

I was one of them, but i found more interesting surviving in this "different" world.
I hope in the next games there will be an AI that is so intelligent that can defend its capital too...
