Stuttering During Gameplay

So this is a completely new/weird issue.

Whenever I load up a game it begins to stutter. It will play for a few days, pause for a bit, play a few more days, pause for a bit, and so on so forth. This did not start happening to me until this morning and only happens when I load a game (a new game does not have these problems).

What version and checksum show on the main game menu?

Are you saying that every loaded save game now does this? That is, if you start a new game, save it, exit and reload, it happens? Or is it only on old games that might have got more complex?

If the latter, your hardware is probably marginal for the game. Or you have something running on your machine, like some malware, a Windows update downloading, too much other stuff going on - something like that.

I am having the same problem with some later save games now too. Everything was fine, I saved, came back later and now the game stutters. It plays a few days, then pauses for 20 seconds, and so forth. Even the old auto-saves stutter and I definitely played through those years without problems. New games run fine, save games close to the starting date run fine. Late starts also work fine, mods on or off as well. Just this particular set of saves doesn't work well. I have played long games before without issue.

Its weird and annoying and makes no sense.

I am running the latest version of the game, checksum changes every time I resign.

Core 2 duo 3.0ghz
4GB ram

Pretty certain its not a hardware issue or anything else. Its just certain later saves being used leads to stuttering.

Actually, found out it was wizck2 mod, latest version fixed it. Apparently it had something to do with the heraldry mod.
