What is it?
A proposal for a sub-mod for AGOT reworking the fighter traits based on the feature in Middle Earth Mod.
So how would it look?
Situation right now:
We have the fighter trait and four levels of it.
Proposal:
The Middle Earth mod team had a brilliant idea to move the fighter level traits to the fighting/general trait section. And make them unique for each culture.
I would like to go even further and add more possibilities.
RE-work education:
Delete Military education traits and fighter traits.
Only have the three court educations for Nobles.
Each noble would than have a leadership trait. (4 or 5 levels) This trait would influence the military trait.
Further the fighter trait would be more culture-unique. for now I'll focus on the more obvious cultures and will not include Essos (besides dothraki) but would like to hear peoples ideas/proposals on potential special traits.
Each noble would have a chance to get three different fighter traits and a possible armor trait.
1st set would be the weapon used in melee. (and duels) this would greatly influence duels. and make it possible to add more fun to them.
- One-Handed Sword (every culture)
- Greatsword (Andals and Iron-born)
- Axe (Ironborn, Norther, Essos, Pirates)
- Arakh (dothraki, merc)
- Warhammer (andals, Robert!)
- Spear (Dorne, wildlings, essos)
2nd set would involve the use of the Lance (for tourneys) that would give a higher chance to win in tourneys and give an initial bonus to cav in battle.
- 4 levels of Lance use. (for warriors fighting on a horse) less likley for Ironborn, pirates, wildlings and the northerners.
maybe add the use of the horse archers here too. For dothraki.
3rd set would be for the Projectile weapons.
- 4 levels of use for the Bow. (pretty much everyone but with more focus on wildlings, ironborn and dorne)
A warrior not trained with a 1-hand sword would be useless swinging a valyrian blade. etc.
Further I'm thinking to add the traits and make them culture specific. They would have different effects. Altough most anals would be the same.
4th level would be armors.
- Light armor, heavy armor. Leather, bronze, iron, steel.
So a character could have a Mil. Leaderhip trait, court trait (in main traits) Be a level 3 1-hand swordsman, level 1 lancer and lever 4 hunter. (usefull for the hunts) Further he would have light leather armor so we would be swift in battle.

As of now It's just a proposal and I'm open to all ideas before I start working on the sub-mod. Also if anyone want to help (writing descriptions or if you have any ideas for the trait icons) please let me know.
