I've been poking around in these forums after starting to play CK: DV and being annoyed with the, shall we say, distinctly odd "consanguinity" laws, which are pretty far removed from what I think they're supposed to modeling(proximity of blood?) and would certainly create some conflicts if used in real life("I'm the strongest!" "No, I am!"). What I'm wondering is whether they can be modded. I know there's a female inheritance mod, but it seems to work by a sort of cheat and not by actually altering the existing laws of succession.

No, it is not possible to mod the laws that way.
