When you want to join a game in stellaris there are two types of games in the lobby: beginning and running.
The problem is, that you cant distinguish between games in the lobby phase and actual running games (hotjoin)
Since hotjoins are very annoying for both, people who are in game and joining (Don't get me wrong, the feature itself is good) there should be a third type added: Lobby. This leads to better client distribution and less hotjoin requests for hosts. Also the running and beginning should have the duration of in-game years added as timestanp, so you can see how long the game is running already. Lastly there should be the option for the host to rename the game and block hotjoins entirely.
Also a few more start options might be handy to improve the MP experience for people with few time on their hands: Higher tech starts.
Normal start: as it is now.
enhanced start: A few techs researched, 2-3 colonys
Advandced start: more techs researched, 5-6 colonys
This would make the progress daster and prevents players from being stuck in the early game.
