Hi everyone,

My name is Onur Emre, and I'm a passionate gamer from Turkey, specifically from the enchanting region of Cappadocia.

I’m reaching out to suggest the incorporation of Turkish language support into games. As a Turkish-speaking individual and avid gamer, I strongly believe that integrating a Turkish language option would significantly enhance the user experience for Turkish users and attract a wider audience.

Considering the growing gaming community in Turkey, offering Turkish support could greatly contribute to expanding your user base both within Turkey and internationally. This wouldn’t only cater to your existing Turkish-speaking users but could also serve as a way to attract new users who are looking for a localized experience.

Additionally, I’m interested in exploring the possibility of remote collaboration on this project. If your team is open to remote work arrangements, I would be enthusiastic about contributing to the implementation of Turkish language support for your games.

I’m confident that implementing Turkish language support would be well-received by the Turkish community, enhancing satisfaction among your current user base and sparking interest among potential new users.

I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this proposal further or learn about any ongoing efforts related to language support. Thank you for considering my suggestion. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this matter.

Best regards,
Onur Emre YILMAZ

And no doubt more that I've missed, not to mention numerous other requested languages posted here over the years.

Firstly, new languages are never added to existing games, the economics of that just do not work out.

As for new games, each one is evaluated by Marketing and its product manager for what languages will be viable. The cost to add a language and support it over the life of the game - many patches, updates, and DLCs - is considerable, and must pay off in extra sales that would not otherwise have occurred. So Turkish was added to Victoria 3 as obviously being a Central Power in WWI. But not to, say, HOI4 as they were not involved so the level of extra sales required would probably not be forthcoming.

As to your offer on cooperation, Paradox and the other studios they publish only use professional translation services. No matter how well intentioned, it cannot be left to amateurs over the life of a game, which will typically be 5-10 years. You are of course welcome to create a Turkish language mod for any game you wish.

Thank you for your interest !
