Suggestion for Army subunits - regiments

When CK2 first released subunits in an Army were led by the Lord they came from (I think). So if you called all your vassals then all your Lords would be in your Army. As either Flank Leaders or Subunit leaders. This was cool and made historical sense. That's how it worked in the Medieval Feudal world. That's why so many Nobles were killed or captured in combat - because they were all there and in combat.

However, at some point Paradox changed it (intentionally or unintentionally not sure) and now most subunits have no leaders. Which makes no sense. You can appoint leaders to subunits you control but not any of the other ones.

Can this be changed with a mod?

Like the quick question thread in the CK2 general forum, this is a place to ask quick questions about modding. I would like to start it with a question about decisions: What is the difference between the Potential part and the Allow part...

For reasons why it was made that way, while i don't recall any official reasoning, i can imagine it might be as there
were complaints by players when playing as vassal getting pulled into the army (and subsequently getting injured or dying)
and from the liege perspective having no control over vassals leaving their commander positions and that it can be unclear
where everyone is and what values get applied to which unit where.
Another point could be performance optimisation.
Just my ideas.
