Since at endgame lagg tends to be extreme (to the point it desyncs every 20 days for me and the boys at least) here is a suggestion that is a "partial" solution at least for co-op players.

"Trust players" mode for networking.

Basically a tickable option that does NOT desync or resync players, instead allows players to "just send packets to the host". Basically syncing is needed for planets, etc. to be in sync with other players, but imagine with an option instead of resending packets, etc. the player would just send it to host who would redirect it to other players, no questions asked. So what they say "is the truth" but only with this option ticked in.

I mean, there is no reason to resync IF whatever a player says is the "truth", just make it be sent to the other players too "as the truth" so they don't try to send their own.

Me and the guys have a desync every 20 days or so in-game at this point soo this could probably solve it in some way, not having to resync as resyncing takes more time than just accepting "ehh reality will be weird a bit".
