In Ground Control, you can set a hotkey to display two rings around a selected unit: one displaying range and one displaying line of sight. Of course this doesn't take line of sight or line of fire into account, but it lets you see at a glance how far the unit can see and fire.
Since this game is probably going to take terrain into account like GC and Wargame, this feature would be perfect, especially to new players who can't use their gut feeling the same way as experienced players to gauge how far a unit can see or fire.
Being able to toggle fog of war would be useful, too, especially if it took terrain into account, though perhaps it would use a lot of memory and even be misleading, since there could be enemies within a unit's range, but hidden in forests, too small to detect, what have you.
