If this has been discussed before my apologies.....

Transferring units to other players:

My thoughts are directed solely at MP gameplay, during the battle with the ebb and flow of the front and the use of resource available to each player, it may be of some advantage during the game to transfer units to other players who may need extra support. With a large battle having to micro manage your units across a broad front would be difficult, however the ability to flip units over the players who need it could help.

Visual battle plan in deployment phrase:

I know chat is available but complimenting it with a visual element 'draw mechanic' to highlight objectives & direction of attack would be a real help. I'm thinking along the lines of recent Total War games. Ideally something more sophisticated but a simple arrow & line tool!

Something similiar..

Thoughts?

In some paradox games like the HOI 3/ Victoria 2 we have drawing tools for making battleplans, would be very very cool to see something like that in SD:Normandy.

Being able to transfer units would be particularly useful when one player surrenders/disconnects in a big battle, to prevent his remaining units to be put under the control of a teammate at the other end of the frontline. It was quite annoying when it happened in Wargame.

Transferring units under command of someone else won't happen. Was brought forward already for wargame and it wasn't implemented. Can't remember the reason.

Regarding the drawing. I bet there will be flares for your teammate to see, wouldn't be bad if they introduce a pen as well though.

Transferring units would allow players to co-ordinate to counteract any lack of a specific unit they've. I think each division should have their own strengths and weaknesses, and a player must plan around those, while the opponent should be able to take advantage of them. Being able to transfer units to others would negate those weaknesses somewhat. As an exaggerated example, if in a 2v2 one division has good tanks but poor infantry, and other has good infantry but poor tanks, they can swap units around in order to overcome that, instead of actually trying to outplay the opponent.

As for the drawing mechanic, I'd love that, although it'd have to be simple enough to use in a hurry.
