MULTIPLAYER Bug

I put the word "multiplayer" in there so it would stay in this forum where the moderator is likely to actually read the message and it might get considered.

I believe that allied supply usage counts double. I noticed in my last two games that the production screen told me that my supply income was positive -- substantially so -- but that my supply stockpiles were declining alarmingly. In this latest game, I watched it carefully and did some math and this was what I found:

The supply tooltip showed (rounded):

used: 206
traded out: 57
allied usage: 73

total outflow: 336

produced: 365
traded for: 33

total inflow: 408

difference: +62

But looking at my stockpile, at the start of day one, right after the new amounts were added, the stockpile was 13034. At the start of day two, the stockpile was 13023, which is -11 from the day before. And -11 is exactly the positive income of 62 reported by the tooltip subtracted from the allied usage of 73.

That may explain some of my experiences in a current game.

True, I also noticed this. Perhaps our allies are very corrupt and sell away some of the supplies they get ;)

More seriously, this is quite annoying. Does anybody know, if it can be corrected in one of the text files?

It's a known bug, just not a very well known one ;-) Well, possibly.

I had exactly this behaviour after I performed two separate amphibious invasions which eventually joined up. Rather than one beachhead ceasing to receive supplies, both beachheads began to receive supplies sufficient for the entire joint force.

Check your convoys, and cancel redundant ones. (Personally I cancel all of them in order to reset amounts)

NB This has nothing to do with Multiplayer, and the moderator here isn't any more likely to help you, beyond moving the post somewhere relevant like the general forum.

and turn off autoconvoys. do it yourself.

Did you have any convoys to supply overseas troops?

Especially when playing UK or Japs, I noted that supply on overseas territories is first brought up to a certain ammount (depending on the ammount of troops in the supplied area), then allowed to decline for a few days, and then is send another shipment of supplies. As the supplies stored on islands isnt counted towards your supply pool as you read at the top of the screen, it might 'cause these differences.

My friend and I had the same problem on a LAN game where we were playing Italy and Romania. After allying with each other, Yugoslavia and Bulgaria joined us. Hungary, Albania and Ethiopia had been conquered as well. When we DOW'd Czechoslovakia they allied with Poland and the Baltic countries. As Romania I had most of Hungary and therefore most of our alliance's border with Czechoslovakia and Poland. Soon I found myself having to pay 2X the supplies necessary to support the entire armed forces of my alliance. The slider said I was making enough, but my supplies were dropping like a rock.

This was purely a land situation, so no convoys to screw around with. Anyone have any ideas in this situation?

Every now and again your power may have to ship out supplies to your o,seas outposts. This may explain the drop.

Acastus just said this wasn't the case- unless Italian overseas troops somehow accounted for it :S

Hmm, if it can't be explained, then it proves that HOI is close to religion: you do certain things because you believe it does something, though their is no way to scientifically deduct that it works :D .

i thought it was because other countrie sunits were in you're country and were drawing suppllly from you. then it would come out of your supplies but not show up on your slider.
