For some reason, the game will not keep my fleet in supply when based at Pearl Harbor. I have 2 Inf with oil using brigades, 8 air units, and about 75 ships based at Pearl.
I have about 3500 convoy units. I have stockpiled well over 100K of both supply and oil.
I have auto convoys on. I double checked, the resourse convoy from Pearl to LA does not carry oil.
Ever 7 - 8 days 261 oil and about 300 supplies are delivered. The oil runs out after about 4 days, then we sit on our hands for 3 - 4 days while we wait for oil.
Does anyone have a solution? This makes the game totally un-playable. How can we possibly prosecute a war in the Pacific if we have to base our offensive units in California?
As an experiment, I stationed all the subs at Midway. Then I gave them all convoy raiding assignments, and assigned the air assets to naval strike. The oil suppy never got close to being low. A convoy was sent every day. As compared to Pearl who is getting re-supplied about every 8 days, even though the fuel requirements are much higher.
As one last experiment, I turned off all auto-convoy. deleted all the convoys and let it run a day, then I turned on the convoy system. (I turned off the oil transport back to LA) This time the oil ran out on April 4, but did not get replenished until April 11.
I also tried turning off the resourse convoy Pearl to LA altogether. To no avail.
I notice that the replenishment convoy does not come until the day when 0 hundred hours rolls around and the supply stockpile has fallen below 300. Then I get about 252 supplies and 252 oil.
The problem is that the oil is being used at a much higher rate than the supplies. I suppose I could move enough land units to Pearl so that they fall more evenly, but this is still only about 1/3 my fleet.
This should be a pretty simple thing to fix. Instead of checking just the supply level, check both. Pretty simple fix.
Just when the game was getting interesting.
