I notice that in the Doctrine Land techs it is possible to give bonuses for "support defence" and "support attack"?

Does anyone know if these bonuses are operable, and if so, how they work. If they do it would seem to me that they would have to work differently, in other words that "support defence bonus" would be a speed modifier, while "support attack" would likely be a straihgt combat modifier?

Does anyone know anything about this?

Also, "reserve" and "support defence" speed values can be moded, yes? If so how?

this should be posted somewhere else, but i want to know how to support defense. i really never used it. does it just move your units to that area that is being attacked?

It is a useful speed bonus.

So, if you think you can prdict the what provinces the enemy will attack, you select support defence and the province you want to defend. Then your units will start marching to that province as soon as it is attacked, arriving in half the time that they would had you ordered them to do so in a normal manouver.
