Since yesterday I have been having an issue which has made it completely impossible to play the game.

I have a duel monitor setup where the game is on monitor 1, and random stuff on monitor 2. Never had an issue with it, but since today the game window still launches on monitor 1 but does not do anything until I click into it. At that point the window freezes and the game itself is suddenly displayed on monitor 2, yet if I click anywhere there it goes away and monitor 1 becomes active again.
The only way to control things is by looking at monitor 2 while using my mouse to on monitor 1 to guesstimate where I'm clicking.

I've tried verifying, reinstalling, deleting the settings files manually. I've also done a full restart and googled of course, where I did find out that someone on reddit had this issue too (linked below) but as far as I know he never solved it either.

The screenshot attached here is his, since we have the same issue anyway.

FYI the game itself did not change overnight (in fact not for some weeks) so this is some local change.

I suspect that change was an update of the nVidia driver, as I had a similar report a couple of weeks ago.

- uninstall your existing nVidia driver, and all associated apps (GeForce Experience, shadowplay etc)
- reboot
- install the latest by fresh download from here:
https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
- reboot again

Good luck with that!

Hey, there was indeed a new version of my gfx driver that released that day. I'm not quite sure how or if that that broke my game, but updating and restarting DID fix the issue (for now).

thanks
