Survey: What scenario do you play most? And List which version you play: DV Vanilla, DV Improvement Pack, DV Alternative Mode.


Version of CK:

• DV Vanilla
• DV Improvement Pack
• DV Improvement Pack with updated Wales map (better updated map mode)
• DV Alternative Mode

Scenarios:

• 1065 Before the Conquest: (Veld's excellent DV Alternative Pack)
• 1066 Battle of Hastings: Norman Conquest of England
• 1187 Battle of Hattin: 3rd Crusade
• 1204 4th Crusade (DVIP Improvement pack)
• 1332 ( I think this is the correct date for the last scenario, that I never play as the Welsh are conqured at this point. I don't know which battle this one was based on)

Maybe Veld can create a survey thread to post to the top of the page. I’ve always been curious as to what scenario is played the most. Probably the 1066 scenario as I know it’s been the most updated start.



I am also curious as to which dynasty is played the most, and which cultures tend to be played the most.

DVIP, 1066 scenario for me

I tend to try out different dynasties, but the only one I have played more than once is King of Nubia (after I renamed the dynasty from the awful 'of Dongola' to 'Dugurra' ... which I seemed to have stumbled upon in some web-article or something).

Other favorite dynasties: Nakonid (of Lübeck), Hvide (of Sjælland), de Barcelona (of Barcelona) and diCanossa (of Tuscany).

I play 1066 Hastings mostly, although my current game is a 1204 game I started to check out some scenario fixes. I hope to continue it into my own H3T mod.

I mostly play with DVIP:Wales of course

And the last scenario is 1337, the nominal start of the Hundred Years' War.

Fantastic!

I'm going to say the 1204 Fourth Crusade with the Wales map mode simply because it is really the only scenario in which a true Welsh hero, Llywelyn the Great, may be played at the beginning of the scenario. It's very exciting.

Also, of corse, with adding female inheritance to the game too! Its great!

I wish we could link both the Jord and Veld's mode together, as I think they compliment each other. I believe that if we had more cultures and kingdom tags that they could be combined.

I play Deus Vult with latest beta patch and most frequently I play 1066 scenario, because it is the longest one (i. e. grand campaign). Only mod I have played more than once was pagan mod to 1.05.

1. Mostly, I play Hastings and 3rd Crusade scenario.
I’ll choose Hastings in poll since it’s more often than others. (1095 & 1024 would be a nice addition I would liked to try).
Percentage could be like this 60% 1066 Hastings, 30% 1187 3rdCrusade, 10% 1337 100years war.
I do not have installed any mod (other than a minor visual - graphic change).


2. I play almost exclusively Orthodox realms (rulers) and almost exclusively County. Most often Serbs (Vojisavljevic, Nemanjic) and very often character that I create (with unique dynasty name).

I am somewhat shocked that so few actually play with the dv Vanilla and without updated maps. I couldn't imagine not playing with the updated maps... but then again if you play somewhere other then the British Isles I suppose the map is not that important. And both the DVIP and TASS have so many updates that from my perspective playing vanilla would be soooo hard.

I always play the longest scenario in any game, so here I play 1066 every single time.

Also, I'm using DV Vanilla because I never use mods either. I also usually play as Scandinavian or Irish dynasties because those are the two parts of my heritage I have latched onto the most.

I usually play the Hastings DVIP scenario, playing various dynasties (de Guader, Penteur, Porhoët, of Canarias, of Aukshayts, Abbasid, of Itil, Jimenez...) and I also use the Kingdoms of Arnor mod.

I haven't played it as much lately, but I played *alot* of Stamford Bridge early on. The scenario fascinated me and I'll have to thank Veld again for putting one of the under looked "what if's" into CK .

The poll fell so far behind and yet I have seen other posters who are not listed on the poll. Prehaps the poll may be stickied? At any rate, it is good to keep it for good record keeping.

I do play with mods of games. A lot actually. Fallout 3 Vanilla compared to Fallout 3 with some choice mods was night and day.

But the vanilla CK DV is sufficiently good that I want to play through one grand campaign with it.

I'm up to about 1120 or so and am on to my second King of France (Aimery). Those transitions in dynastic rule are rough, eh!?

Btw this is kinda interesting. The EU3 forum had a similair poll right before Magna Mundi was announced (And it was the most populair mod) Maybe this is an pre-announce Ck2 thingy?
