Description
cable length per 1 metal is bugged, or: cable continuation hex is counted twice
Windows
GoG
What is your game version?
1007783
Do you have Space Race installed?
No
Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
When I mark cable to build, I get 5 hexes per 1 metal, including starting and ending hexes. But when I continue existing cable, I have to start from hex with existing cable (which is already paid for), so I get 1 less hex!
As a result, if I cancel part of the cable before it was constructed, or even just not draw it all the way in one go, and try to continue it (say, when trying different layouts, or when layout requires multiple bends), I either get 1 hex shorter or I have to pay 1 more metal for exactly the same length of cable. Nothing was even constructed yet, and cost of construction of the EXACT SAME cable was raised!
P.S. Why is it even "1 metal per 5 hexes" instead of "0.1 metal per half-hex"?
Can you replicate the issue?
Yes: simply start the game, plan cable of 10 hexes (max for 2 metal), then parallel to it plan cable of 5 hexes (max for 1 metal) and try to continue it - you'll either get +4 hexes for +1 metal (9 total), or have it cost +2 metal for +5 hexes (10 total).
