Surviving Mars - Cannot select any menu items

Description
Update: This may be 100% related to the PC detecting a gamepad I had not idea was active. When starting game it asked Controller Y/N. Choose No, freak out. Choose Yes, all is well. Change back to No, all is well. That is odd.

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Unable to select any items in the build menu, or menu at all as everything passes by in a blur, as in a total crazy scroll that only stops when you click outside the bottom menu nav. Can't click anything. On attempt for initial rocket placement it spins in a circle. No mods running. Had the game all of 30 seconds. It started immediately. Exited out. Started back up. Same problem. Unplayable. Using keyboard/mouse, not a controller.

I haven't seen any other reports like that - very dramatic! If you have any sort of game controller or joystick, please unplug that from this machine before starting the game.


If that doesn't help Please attach here the latest (ONLY!) game log file, from here:
C:\Users\{Username}\AppData\Roaming\Surviving Mars\logs\
To see the AppData folder you'll need to enable View Hidden Items in File Explorer.

Plus, DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.
