Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I've started a new map, (because of game breaking bugs in the previous map detailed elsewhere). In the attached file, I've circled the cable where I first encountered the problem early in this game. Originally, in this picture, before the water and fuel elements were added, the first cable laid was along the red path. Then, I laid a cable along the blue path. Then I decided to eliminate the arch of the red path but the salvage feature stopped functioning where I have made a green circle. I ignored the issue but now, in other parts of the map, I cannnot change pathing.

Can you replicate the issue?

Edit: I've reladed a save at sol 1. While the issue didn't manifest in my original play at that time it does now except, when the game is paused. I can edit new cable I put down while it is paused.

You can use the salvage tool (Infrastructure menu) to remove cables after they are built. It's always been like that.

Oh. That's handy. I'd never noticed that on my previous map or this one. I had been simply clicking on the cable and then salvage on the resulting popup, (top RH corner). Like you can for any other construction.

you can click on a cable and press delete key and it works. you can not see that you clicked it but it works. you just have to aim right ^^

I'm loving this game but I see I have to get used to some idiosyncrasies.
