Description
Drones ignore metal on universal depot

What is your game version?
Initial Relase

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
The game hint suggested creating a depot, so I created it immediately. The drones building my solar panels would not use any of the metal stored there, but rather traveled a long distance around a cliff to gather fresh metal. The depot was a few tiles away from the construction sites. I could not find a way to command them, so I restarted the game.

Can you replicate the issue?
Could not replicate, restarting the game created a new map and it was no longer an issue, even though I created the depot as soon as the in-game hint suggested it.

Same problem here. I have depots, but the drones ignore them and go long distances to mine on their own.

Also, is there a way to prioritize construction? I know how to prioritize buildings for power, etc., but it would be nice to be able to mark a building-to-be as having higher priority over, say, a long powerline that I previously decided needed to also be placed.

After playing longer, I don't think this is an issue anymore. The passing of sols doesn't seem to be too wasteful, so letting drones get resources from wherever they choose is fine. Annoying if you are have to wait a long time for them to traverse the alternate path, but just increase the speed to max for a bit. I haven't seen a case yet where metal on a depot is ignored while no other surface deposits are in range.
