Description
Eternally looping discharge drone alarm sound

Windows

Steam

What is your game version?
228,722

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Got a very annoying alarm sound going on continously and I can't localise it.

It only stops when I press escape, it even perrsists on the global map view when you zoom right out.

I loaded a pre-Spirit save game and it's there too, even with the game paused. Forgive my crude recontstruction but its:
"buuurra....buuurrra.....buuurrra"

I don't have any colonists so no moxie or air tanks, no mods etc.

Loaded up a new game and did nothing other than flatten a drone completely.

It's when a drone runs out of power and starts flashing red. That's when the sound starts and it never stops, even when the drone is recharged fully and working normally and even when the current playthrough is closed and a new one started.

The only way to clear it is to close the game down and restart it.

The sound loops to infinity and sometimes clips its own audo file or sometimes two versions play, one infront of the other for a short time before reverting to the notmal sound, but still looped.

Did not have this before last patch.

Also as an fyi, the drone 'humm humm' when its collecting materials or you give it a command and it overrides it (eg: when heading to recharge) is quite annoying to have to listen to throught the game, along with the scanner tower 'ping' sound.

Can you replicate the issue?
Yes.

Flatten a drone and the sound loops.
When I tested it the drone was allocated to a rocket.
Still happens if flattened drone is assigned to drone hub.

Any word on a patch? I've avoided playing sunce the Spirit patch that broke this.

My only option is to disable all SFX. I had also though about deleteing the offending sound file.

I know there are many bugs needing attention but i'm just enquiring.
Ive seen others post about the same bug on the Steam forums.
