Game crashes - sound/video hang with green blocks either to desktop or self reboot

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Crash happens at a random time after loading the game, anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour or more. The sound and video hang, and sometimes some green blocks show up. Usually I'll return to desktop with Steam window unresponsive, but sometimes the entire system will reboot. I have no idea what causes it, or anything I'm doing that seems to be related, I'm just going about playing the game and it'll crash.

Can you replicate the issue?
It's random, sometimes I play for an hour sometimes 10 minutes.

Has this always happened with this game? Or it was okay up to some point?

Immediately after the next such crash, Please attach here the latest (ONLY!) game log file, from here:
C:\Users\{Username}\AppData\Roaming\Surviving Mars\logs\
To see the AppData folder you'll need to enable View Hidden Items in File Explorer.

Plus, DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.


THEN Please report the temperatures of your CPU and video (GPU)
1/ before starting the game up and
2/ after say 10 minutes' play.
If your PC's vendor has given you no way of reading temperatures, install

temps before starting the game are 37c & 43c for the CPU and GPU. These increase to 74c & 76c

Also, I'd say it didn't happen initially, but tends to happen with every game after a certain point, after 150 sols or so.
edit: after 158ish sols, it happens within minutes into my games.
