Game crashes to desktop after loading a saved game and un-pausing

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Since the latest DLC, I can play all day long if I want to (other than the mass suicide issue in a different thread). I can save repeatedly without issues and the game does *not* crash at all while playing. However, when I quit the game and then restart it, *any* recent save I have (including autosaves) will load properly, but whenever I un-puase the game after the load finishes, the game will *always* crash to the desktop within 2-3 seconds. Again - the game does not crash while playing, it crashes when loading a save and un-pausing. The problem goes away if I do not run any mods.
Can you replicate the issue?
