MacOS Lakes don't render

Mac
iMac 27" 4.2Ghz i7. ATI Radeon 580Pro 8GB VRam 64GB Ram MacOS 11.0.1

Steam

What is your game version?
249143

Do you have Space Race installed?
Yes

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I bought Surviving Mars this week. I've spent 60 hours loving the game but noticed that the lakes were just solid white in colour. I assumed they were frozen and didn't think much of it other than it looking annoying and slightly out of place. My game now has 60% temperature and the lake is still pure white! All lakes are simply solid white where the water should be. It took me 60 hours of gameplay to realise this is a bug and not how they look when frozen!!

Can you replicate the issue?
Every time.

Unfortunately this is an unfixed bug on the Mac version of the game.

Please use this mod to get past it:

Sorry about that!

The whole point of the game is to terraform and get liquid water on Mars but you’re telling me it’s an unfixed bug? Why is it unfixed? The game is what 3 years old? That’s like FIFA not rendering the goals! FYI the mod only removes the water and doesn’t fix the issue.

It is unfixed because there have been no patches to this game for over a year now. While this is not official, it does seem as if the game is no longer in development, I'm sorry to say.
