When I have a Rare Metals Extractor outside of dome range that is only accessible by train the University will random flip from zero geologist needed to like 4 then 1 then back to 0. This is when I have two shifts active that are fully employed. There are NO EMPTY Geologists in the ONE Rare Metals Extractor. There is NO NEED for any new Geologists. But the University will randomly for maybe like 30 seconds or minute say there is a need for 4, or 1, Geologists. So sometimes in the window a student graduates and they become a geologist but I have NO OPEN slots for them to work. This is insanely annoying.
Can you replicate the issue?
It seems random but it CONSISTENTLY happens. Create a colony. Create a Rare Metals Extractor outside the colony range for work that can only be accessible by train. Get it up and running and fill all the work slots with Geologists. At this point you don't need any Geologist. Create a dome with a Nursery, School, and University. Watch the University. Sometimes it will say you need a Geologist. It will go from like 4, then to 1, then back to zero where it should be. I see this all the time. And sometimes it hits the window for graduation and I get unneeded Geologists.
