Description
XB1 Trying to set buldings to OT or firing single worker shuts down entire shift.

What is your game version?
227,182

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Every single building that requires colonists will shut down the shift if I try to set it into OT or fire a single worker.

Can you replicate the issue?
Everytime the X button is hit when trying to do OT or firing a worker the shift is shut off.

Same happening PS 4

hey all, been playing since realease not much sleep had yet

I have started play a little deeper in the game and have tried to sack my worker from a shift ( wrong specialisation)
Say engineer working in a research lab

I go to the shift, in the menu of building.. select the shift and move the direction pad over each worker
I find the worker with the wrong specialisation and up pops and option to sack the worker from that shift. hoping they will head of to the right building..

But instead of sacking the single worker it shuts the entire shift down..

Other than manually watching the person leaving the building.. selecting them and direct them to go work in specific building is there any other way to do this?..

Was hoping just sacking the wrong type on the shift would work.. but when it shuts the whole shift down, on a farm for example I am ending up with crop failures etc..

Yeap, PS4, same as ...

I know this the bugs section, but has anyone got a fix or way around in the meantime?

Cheers

I'm having the same issue on XB1. Highlighting an individual colonist to fire them, pressing A and X have the same result, and close the entire shift. This bug makes it more or less impossible to manage colonists in their roles.

I have the same issue on PS4! It’s driving me nuts. Just got ai extractors and can’t use it. It’s so frustrating! I’m stopping playing until this is fixed because it’s so damn annoying and makes optimization on super hard difficulty impossible. Love the game otherwise (bought on PS4 and pc) though the UI on PS4 is a little clunky at times. Assigning workers to new buildings also sometimes bugs and they assign themselves to some random building in the dome.

You can start playing again. Extractor ai works if you place the extractors outside the dome radius. Turn on all the shifts and see the magic. It does work but not like they intended so I hope it gets fixed. Hope this works for you

The best solution I have found so far to to build a dome each for the specialisation.. I even have a senior citizen dome now

So at the minimum

1 dome the scientist and botanist .. research and farm buildings
1 dome for engineers.. machine parts, electrical parts, fuel refinery
1 dome for geologist, metal and rare metal in the vicinity of dome

Then in dome settings isolate it to only those specialisations and no specialisation
It’s a bit of a mission moving people inside the dome that are not needed.. they have to be moved one at a time

Hope this helps.. and if anyone has found another way please speak up
